Many times people ask what we feed our dogs. When we answer "RAW"... people usually ask next, what is that? or you mean raw food?
The answer is yes, our adult dogs are on a raw diet, which basically means, they eat raw food. Then of course, the responses are either : GROSS!!! or NO WAY, REALLY?
We have found that feeding a raw diet to our dogs has a huge benefit, in many ways, over kibble based diets. Especially now with all the recalls, and more coming every day!!
I have to mention we do NOT feed our puppies raw. I personally would love to - but I know not too many people would conitnue to do so. By all means, if you are interested in a raw diet, even supplimenting some raw in your dogs diet, feel free to contact me!! A raw diet is only as complicated as you make it.
My adults have - no tear staining, no doggie smell, no bad breath, their teeth are gorgeous white, no allergy issues. There of course are more benefits, but these are just a few.
Raw feeding is definitly easier than one thinks and is less expensive than a kibble based diet. I only mention the expense part as many people think the diet will cost them more, when in fact, much less. I also do not have to supplement, change brands of food due to boredom, and so on.
I have provided a link with some information below. There is loads of info on the net, as well as many different raw type diets. This site seemed to be informative without stating one type of raw diet was better over another. Feel free to have a look. I do not advocate what is in this link, however just placed it here to provide some info.
I am also a raw food distributor for Oma foods. I know the article posted disagrees with "commercial raw", however, all amounts of ingredients are listed on the packaging, and a find a huge benefit of buying bulk necks, livers, and so on. This means that I can get a variety of food, in small amounts or bulk for a cheaper price than you may find yourself. I get an array of meat, veggie mixes, and freeze dried food, including exotic typed meats (ostrich, buffalo, etc). I also purchase a ton in bulk and am able to divy it out as needed (I know not everyone has loads of freezer room) as need. Please let me know if I can help you with that in any way!!
